Theory of Music Made Easy Grade 1 presents the rudiments of theory divided into short chapters. This popular series by Lina Ng is designed to prepare musicians for exams as the information is presented in bitesize sections, and each volume in the series builds on the work of the last. There are revision chapters, covering two topics at one time and it is interspersed with cheerful illustrations, making learning more fun.

Theory of Music Made Easy Grade 2 by Lina Ng builds upon what has previously been learned from the series and tackles new topics such as ledger lines and Italian terms, triplets and note groupings.

Theory of Music Made Easy Grade 3 is the third book in a series of five from Lina Ng. Having covered basic theory in the first two volumes,  here more complex issues are tackled such as chord structures and compound time, however there are also chapters included that act as a revision for work from earlier grades.

In Theory of Music Made Easy Grade 4 from Lina Ng, students are introduced to the alto clef, double sharps and double flats, more complex key signatures and ornamentation. Sections are interspersed with revision chapters, covering several topics, to consolidate what has been learned, both in this book and in the preceding ones. Topics covered take students up to the ABRSM Grade 4 test.

Theory of Music Made Easy Grade 5 by Lina Ng takes students through the topics required for the ABRSM Grade 5 exam, building upon the information covered in the preceding books and tackling subjects in an organised and logical way. It introduces the subjects of transposition, irregular time signatures, chord sequences and cadences.

Testimonials

I began my guitar journey here. The support and advice provided by Leyton has been invaluable. From my first acoustic guitar and recommendation for my first guitar tutor. To my first electric guitar and amp.

I won't be going anywhere else.

I value the excellent customer service!

Leyton will always go that extra mile to get you what you need. During this lockdown period I know that 'extra mile' has proved to be invaluable to many.
